Lenders Expect New Greek Gov't to Present State Budget at Oct 5 Eurogroup

diapragmateusi---thriler-se-ekseliksi-to-eurogroup_7.w_hrThe Greek government that will come out of the September 20th elections will have to present the new state budget tabled at the Greek Parliament at the October 5th Eurogroup.
The new Greek finance minister will have to present the state budget along with a timetable of implementation of the reforms and measures required by the bailout program signed by the previous government.
The Greek government has agreed to achieve a primary surplus at 0.5 percent of gross domestic product for 2016, 1.75 percent of GDP in 2017, and 3.5 percent of GDP for 2018 and 2019.
The timetable of reforms is important because it will be linked with the disbursement of the loan tranches, so that the country can meet its financial obligations. So far Greece has secured 26 billion euros after signing the agreement and legislating the prerequisites.
Interim Finance Minister Giorgos Chouliarakis will be at Saturday’s informal meeting of Eurozone finance ministers. Chouliarakis has to present the state of Greek economy after the previous government signed the bailout agreement and on the eve of the general elections.
The caretaker minister will have to present to lenders the progress of reforms required.
