The Largest Sailing Cruise Ship in the World Arrived in the Aegean

club-med708The largest sailing cruise ship in the world, the famous Club Med 2, has been travelling around the Aegean Sea, while on Friday it made a stop at the Chios port. This is the sister ship of Club Med 1, built in 1992 in Le Havre, France, which was sold to WindStar Cruises, six years later.
The five-masted, computer-controlled sailing ship can carry up to 386 passengers with a crew of 214 and it usually sails the waters of the Mediterranean and Adriatic Sea in the summer, and the Caribbean in the winter.
The ships contains 10 suites (115 square meters each), it provides ballroom dancing, music and water sports. Club Med 2’s European destinations include ports in the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Aegean Sea, and Cyprus.
The luxurious ship which sails with the French flag, arrived in Chios from Santorini carrying 308 passengers (mainly European tourists), while its next stop is the Greek islands of Lemnos.
