Thessaloniki International Fair Had More than 200,000 Visitors

tifOver 200,000 people visited the 80th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) despite the difficult economic climate, capital controls, and the banking holiday in Greece.
The number of visitors reached 216,300 and 170,000 of them visited “Las Incantadas”, the statues that are known as “the Caryatides of Thessaloniki” that returned home (from Louvre), 150 years after being stolen from the city.
Pavilion 3 where the Las Incantadas exhibition was, also had “the most important inventions and musical instruments of Ancient Greeks “. Pavilion 3 will close for a short period for maintenance work and is set to re-open in early October.
TIF-Hellexpo will gift the statues to the city when the suitable location to place them is found.
