Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is to appoint Euclid Tsakalotos for the second time, as Greece’s finance minister in his new cabinet, according to a SYRIZA official.
The Oxford-trained economist, who replaced Yanis Varoufakis in July, played a crucial role in Greece’s bailout negotiations.
Also, former Energy Minister Panos Skourletis is expected to be reappointed in his post.
The main goal for the incoming government is to implement the reforms and measures required by the new bailout program, with the first priority being the recapitalization of Greek banks by the end of the year.
