Greek Minister Dimitris Kammenos Resigns- Panagiotis Sgouridis Reportedly to Replace Him

ena-mualokameno-paizei-me-to-aousbits.w_lJust over 12 hours after the new Greek government’s inauguration, one of the cabinet’s initial members is already part of the administration’s past.
Former Infrastructure,Transportation and Network Minister Dimitris Kammenos announced his resignation shortly after 11 pm on Wednesday evening.
Independent Greeks (ANEL) leader Panos Kammenos essentially forced ANEL MP Dimitris Kammenos to resign from his ministerial post amid controversy surrounding the latter’s racist, homophobic, anti-semitic alleged remarks.
“Until the truth about the anti-Semitic racist posts, the Deputy Minister will facilitate with his resignation,” Panos Kammenos posted on his twitter account.
Dimitris Kammenos defended himself by claiming that his social media accounts are being run by more than fifteen people. He also added that his social media accounts have been hacked on multiple occasions.
Dimitris Kammenos now holds the record for the shortest service in a Greek cabinet. According to Greek media reports Panagiotis Sgouridis, the former Vice Minister for Rural Development, will take over as Deputy Infrastructure,Transportation and Network Minister.
Earlier in the evening Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras had contacted Panos Kammenos and asked to verify if the twitter account in question belongs to Dimitris Kammenos and if it does, they should consider replacing him.
