Greek PM Tsipras to Meet with U.S. President Obama on sidelines of UN Meeting

kk1Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will reportedly meet with U.S. President Barrack Obama at a reception for foreign leaders on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly on Sunday.
According to a source close to Maximos Mansion, the Greek prime minister will discuss the Greek debt issue with the U.S. President, who has been supportive of the Greek side during bailout negotiations with the country’s creditors.
It is possible that Tsipras will also have an unofficial meeting with Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglou to discuss crucial issues such as the Exclusive Economic Zone in the Aegean Sea, the Cyprus problem and the refugee influx, the same source said.
The Turkish prime minister has opened channels of cooperation with Greece. In June, Davutoglou had publicly stated that Turkey is willing to help Greece overcome the economic crisis.
