Greece's New Democracy Party to Elect New Leader on November 22nd

Greece’s main opposition party, New Democracy, will elect its new leader on November 22nd, the party’s central election committee announced on Thursday.
If a second round of votes is needed, it will be held the following Sunday, November 29.

The four candidates are interim party president Vangelis Meimarakis, former ministers Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Adonis Georgiadis, and Governor of the Region of Central Macedonia Apostolos Tzitzikostas.
President of the party’s central election committee, Andreas Papamimikos thanked the representatives of the candidates for their contribution into planning the election. The committee will convene again at 3:00 pm on Monday to finalize procedural matters.
It is estimated that the election will cost the party 450,000-600,000 euros.
