French President Francois Hollande Will Address Greek Parliament October 23

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will not be the only Greek politician to hear French President Francois Hollande speak during the French premier’s two day visit to Greece next week.
Hollande will address the Greek parliament on October 23rd, a day following his arrival in Athens. Greek media reports that Tsipras along with the President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos will arrive with Hollande at the parliament, where they will be greeted by Parliament President Nikos Voutsis.
The French Presidnet recently praised Tsipras in the European Parliament calling him “brave” for his stance during the negotiations on the third bailout deal. In the same speech Hollande echoed the Greek government’s hope that discussions on Greek debt relief will be done soon.
Hollande’s predecessor, Nicola Sarcozi, had also addressed the Greek Parliament during his presidency in 2008.
