43-Year-Old Woman Swept Away by Flood Found Dead in Athens

Dead woman found in KamateroA 43-year-old mother of two children was found dead on Saturday morning in the area of Freattyda in Piraeus, after her car was swept away in a flash flood on Thursday in Kamatero, a suburb northwest of Athens, Greece.
The woman is said to have been on her way to pick up her children from school on Thursday, however she never returned home. Her husband immediately notified authorities about her suspicious absence.
The car of the 43-year-old woman was found by Greek authorities on Saturday.
According to her brother, the woman had managed to get out of her car, but she failed to protect herself from the rough waters and she was swept away in the flash flood.
