German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier is visiting Athens on Thursday to discuss the refugee crisis and the progress of the bailout program implementation.
Steinmeier will meet with President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos at 1pm and Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras at 1:30 pm. Following the meeting with the two heads of state, the German minister will also meet with his Greek counterpart, Nikos Kotzias.
In the evening, the German foreign minister will visit the University of Piraeus for a ceremony where he will be given the title of honorary professor.
