The head of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC), Konstantinos Botopoulos has submitted his resignation, following a request by the Greek Finance Minister Eucid Tsakalotos, sources said on Friday.
Botopoulos had been at the helm of the Commission for 4 years. According to sources from his post, Botopoulos has proposed that his resignation take effect after the completion of the bank recapitalization to protect the stability of the financial market.
