Greece Ranks Low on Map of Trust

xartis-empistosuniGreece ranks low in Europe’s map of trust, according to a survey conducted by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.
The survey studies the measure of trust the citizen has in institutions and fellow citizens. The four major categories measured are the trust the citizen has in the political system, the legal system, the police and fellow citizens.
Greeks belong to the category of people who have a general distrust for the political and legal system, the police and other people.
Specifically, ranked 8th in the countries that do not trust institutions and others. Participants scored 5 out of 10 in their trust towards the police, 4.1 for the legal system, 2 points for the political system and 5.3 in their trust towards others.
Overall in the four Scandinavian countries and Switzerland, citizens trust their institutions and their fellow man. On the other side of the scale, eastern European countries and countries of the South seem to distrust the legal and political system, the police and others.
