Casino Loutraki Operations Suspended Due to Unpaid Taxes

loutraki casinoThe Finance Ministry suspended the operation of Casino Loutraki at 08:00 am on Thursday since the Casino failed to pay 2 million euros in taxes.
The management of the Casino referred to a “ritualistic” act adding that they cannot bear the high taxation imposed.
“Unfortunately, we did not manage to collect the amount on time,” a Loutraki Casino representative told ANA-MPA. He also said that we are “struggling to collect the money in order to be able to open in the afternoon.”
They also underlined that all companies operating in the sector pay a 32 percent tax, OPAP pays a 30 percent tax and Loutraki Casino must pay a higher 35 percent tax.
