Clowns Help Refugee Kids Smile on the Island of Lesvos

refugee-childrenThe Greek island of Lesvos, located in the East Aegean Sea, has become well known over the past few months for the thousands of migrants and refugees that arrive at the island each day.
Among those arriving everyday are children who are forced to take on the perilous path from the east to the west. Amid the trauma that they go through during this long journey, Clowns Without Borders try to provide them with some comic relief. The group puts up shows in refugee settlements on Lesvos in an effort to distract children from their unstable surroundings.
