Greek farmers who met in a conference in Platykambos have agreed to participate in a nationwide rally on November 18. The rally was suggested by farmers in Crete who extended a general invitation for a rally on November 18 in Syntagma, Athens.
The conference participants unanimously voted in favor of participating in the rally, taking place in Athens and discussed the details regarding the rally organization. In particular, the joint meeting consisted of farmers’ committees from Central Greece and representatives from North Greece, Epirus, Peloponnese, Central Greece, Pieria and Thessaly.
It appears that the descent to Athens will be massive, while the farmers are expected to arrive with their agricultural machinery and tractors.
Furthermore, on Tuesday, November 10, a large agricultural rally is scheduled to take place in Larissa, co-organized by the local cooperatives, young farmers, the agronomical club of Larissa and other Greek organizations.
