Earth Swallows One of Greece's Most Beautiful Beaches [Video]

egremnoi2Egremni Beach in Lefkada, one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece, has been swallowed by the earth after the destructive earthquake that hit the Ionian Sea island on Tuesday.
Along with the beach, the 350 stone steps that led to the beach have suffered severe damages.
The earthquake that measured 6.1 points on the Richter Scale left two people dead and several injured as well as causing damage to many buildings.
Big rocks and tons of earth have covered the beach, which is literally buried as the steep cliff above now literally falls into the sea. Also, a big part of the stone steps that lead to the beach are gone after the landslide.
Egremni Beach is known worldwide for its crystal clear turquoise waters and the impressive steep, green cliff hanging above it.
