Greek President Pavlopoulos, PM Tsipras Agree on Need for Political Agreement on Matters of Strategic Importance

pavlopoulos-tsiprasGreek President of the Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos underlined the necessity of being united and giving the battle together on major issues and on national targets that do not depend on the changes of the government, at his meeting with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Friday at the presidential mansion.
On his part, the premier asked Pavlopoulos’ contribution in order for an essential political agreement to be achieved over crucial issues and on matters of strategic importance. Pavlopoulos reassured Tsipras that this is the role of the President of the Republic, particularly in crucial moments, stressing that “the President’s regulatory role is necessary in the difficult times.”
Referring to the latest developments on the implementation of the program, the Prime Minister of Greece stated that we are at the end of a very difficult circle and these days we are successfully overcoming a very difficult condition with the completion of the banks’ recapitalization.
