Following an extraordinary day on Monday, when there were not any reports of new arrivals on the East Greek island of Lesvos, thousands reached the island’s shores on Tuesday.
The Athens Macedonian News Agency reports that 1,700 people arrived at Lesvos on Tuesday.
Although there were not any arrivals on Monday, two male bodies washed up on the islands’ shores and one child’s body on the shore of the island of Samos. According to ANA-MPA, these people were on an older boat as their bodies were in an advanced stage of decay.
Frontex, was also able to locate a boat transporting 150 people and guide it safely to Lesvos.
