1,500 Migrants En Route to Athens from the Border

migrantsA convoy of 29 buses carrying a total of 1,500 migrants are currently driving back to Athens from the Idomeni railway station on border shared between the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, FYROM,  and Greece. This is according to Greek police sources speaking with ANA-MPA on Wednesday.
The buses started setting off at around 11:00 on Wednesday morning after a police sweep of the area in order to open the railway line once again. The first buses are expected to arrive in Athens late on Wednesday afternoon and the last will arrive in the capital late at night. The migrants will be taken to the former indoor Olympic stadium (Tae Kwon Do) in Paleo Faliro and the reception facilities at Elliniko.
