Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has increased the number of his personal guard, according to a newsit.gr report.
After being elected Prime Minister in January 2015, Tsipras had refused to have the maximum number of men he is entitled to as his personal guard.
According to protocol, the Prime Minister can have 30 men to protect and watch over him on a 24-hour basis. During his first, seven-month term, Tsipras had said that he does not need so many guards.
However, things changed, said the report, after Tsipras was elected for the second time in September 2015. His guard was silently beefed up.
Furthermore, a recent appearance of a suspicious scavenger and a group of anarchists of the “Rubicon” group protesting outside his house, have forced the Prime Minister to ask for additional security.
