According to Turkish news agencies, at least 12 people, have drowned on the coast of Turkey when their boat capsized while on its way to Greek islands. Among the dead there were also young children.
The Turkish coast rescued 28 people aboard the boat, but another 10 are missing, according to Turkish nationwide television news channel NTV.
The number of refugees who have died crossing the Mediterranean, trying to reach Europe, was more than 2,500 this past summer alone, but it seems there is no end to this unspeakable human tragedy as more than 4 million additional refugees are expected to make their way to Europe in the next couple of years.
