Athens Museum Hosts Exhibit by Greek Artist Nonda

eksoteriko-cropA rare exhibition on the work of Greek artist Epaminondas Papadopoulos (1922-2005), better known in the Paris art circles where he spent most of his life as simply ‘Nonda’, isĀ on show at the Museum of the City of Athens (Vouros Eutaxias Foundation) until March 31.
Entitled ‘Le Paris de Nonda’ and curated by the artist’s daughter, the exhibition tracks the life and work of an artist that influenced 20th century art and modernism.
The exhibition features 50 works of art spread over the five galleries of the museum, depicting the streets of Paris where Nonda lived and worked for most of his life: Pigalle, Montmartre, Place Blanche and other signature Paris neighborhoods in the post-war years of 1947 and onward.
