Cyprus Leaders' Meeting on Monday Postponed

The meeting between President Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci, scheduled to take place on Monday, 8 February, has been postponed, government spokesman Nikos Christodoulides said.
Replying to CNA questions, the spokesman said that the leaders’ meeting was postponed due to the fact that the negotiators of the two sides have not yet held their preparatory meeting.
The two negotiators, Andreas Mavroyiannis and Ozdil Nami, held contacts in Brussels this week, and will meet again on Monday to prepare the work and agree on the date of the leaders’ new meeting, Christodoulides added.
UN-backed talks on the Cyprus problem restarted in May 2015.
