Two refugees attempted to hang themselves from trees in Victoria Square, in Athens. Fortunately, both men are well in their health, as police officers and an ambulance rushed to the spot in order to provide them with medical assistance.
The two refugees tried to commit suicide after feeling desperate that they are trapped in Greece and they are unable to continue their journey due to the closed borders by the FYROM authorities and the deportations that have started in the rest of Europe.
The men made draft nooses with scarves and clothes and climbed on the trees. One of the men lost his senses, but luckily, after prompt intervention from their compatriots, the worst was avoided.
