According to ANA-MPA, the situation in Idomeni is still out of control as at least 5,500 refugees and migrants are trapped at the borders waiting to cross in the neutral zone of the FΥRΟΜ. In addition, 437 more refugees arrived on Saturday morning in Pireaus port.
Despite the thousands of refugees and migrants that are stranded in Greece and roam the streets in desperation, the FYROM authorities have not opened the borders to anyone, leading to more and more people gathering in Idomeni.
Idomeni2Last night, 80 Afghans left a  hotspot in Idomeni on buses, whereas 3 buses with 120 Syrians and Iraqis came from Diavata. At the moment, about 2,000 refugees are in Diavata.
According to the Immigration Ministry, about 20,000 refugees and migrants are stranded in Greece and the numbers are expected to go up. Meanwhile the hotspots in Attica are overcrowded: in Elliniko there are 2,000 people, in Eleonas 1,200, in Schisto 1,200 and in Pireaus port 1,150.
Regarding other parts of Greece, the situation remains tense on the islands of Lesbos, Kos, Chios, Rhodes, Kastelorizo, Leros and the cities of Kozani, Grevena, Volos, Trikala, Larisa and Fthiotida.
