Pappas: 'Forget the Ecumenical Government'

Nikos Pappas
State Minister Nikos Pappas appeared sure that the government majority will remain solid with the upcoming voting period and excluded the possibility of an ecumenical government in a recent interview with the newspaper Paron.
“It’s about a midsummer night’s dream of people who think that they will come back to the chairs that the Greek people deprived them of,” said Pappas regarding the scenarios for the formation of an ecumenical government.
As for the refugee issue, Nikos Pappas said that it is an issue that reaches every isolated government, adding that the Greek government has taken action on every level so that it pushes for a solution towards the problem in the war zones, but as well as to ensure the best possible broader coalitions in order to manage the refugee flows and to isolate border politics.
Pappas also appeared sure that the competition for media licenses will go ahead as planned, as “the procedure that we have followed is in full accordance with the Syntagma and fully backed by the law,” clarifying that whichever of the television stations does not get a license, it will be shut down and Digea will take off its signal.
