Greek Professor Invents Food that Could Fight Malnutrition

ereuna-gia-keik-body-image-1457515222The Greek patent bread-cake “Feedback” can help in the world’s malnutrition problem, according to inventor Dimitris Kouretas, professor at the University of Thessaly.
The creators of Feedback claim that one slice contains all the nutrients and calories the human body requires in a day.
A Patras native, Kouretas received a PhD in Biochemistry at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In the early 1990s he did research at Harvard Medical School. Now he is Professor of Physiology and Toxicology at the Biochemistry and Biotechnology department of the University of Thessaly in Larissa.
Kouretas’ main research is in the field of mechanisms of nutrients’ interactions with the body at a molecular level, especially during exercise. He is an expert in the European Union “Food for Life.”
Speaking about the food he invented, the scientist said that the “recovery cake” is a 80-gram cake that can offer body sustenance for 24 hours, as it contains  the calories and proteins of a complete meal.
The Feedback is made of raw materials produced in certified farms in Greece that do not use genetically modified organisms or from animals bred under ideal conditions in Greek farms.
Kouretas claims that mass production of Feedback could well be substantial food aid for Third World countries. It is produced by the processing of whey, which would otherwise end up in rivers and be a polluter.
The inventor also says that such products could eliminate malnutrition problems in African countries. At the same time, such foods can act proactively to maintain the good health of the body, even used for therapeutic purposes in some cases. Kouretas says that products like Feedback are the future of nutrition.
