FIFA and UEFA have reacted to the Hellenic Football Federation’s (EPO) update regarding the cancelling of the Greek Cup by the Alternate Minister of Sports.
In the first meeting of the committee of the International Federation, with its newly elected president Gianni Infantino, FIFA as well as UEFA decided to warn the Alternate Minister of Sports, Stavros Kontonis, that in case of not carrying out the Greek Cup, there will be consequences.
The warning will be given through a letter signed by both the International as well as the European Federation.
Until Stavros Kontonis decides what he is going to do regarding his decision on the cancellation of the Greek Cup, there are possible risks of excluding all Greek teams from the European championships, in case the minister does not step back.
