Earthquake of 5.2 Magnitude Jolts Zakynthos Island in Greece

seismos-zakinthos-708An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale jolted 86 kilometers west-southwest of the Zakynthos island in GreeceĀ at 4:05 am on Tuesday, the Athens Geodynamic Institute said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 15.42 kolimeters, was initially determined to be at 37.4893 degrees north latitude and 20.1707 degrees east longitude.
So far, there have been no reports of casualties or property damage. The earthquake was felt over a large area in the Ionian Sea, followed by several jolts of smaller intensity.
