Earthquake Shakes Crete

An earthquake occurred on the island of Crete in the afternoon, mostly felt in Herakleion.
The earthquake was of 4.5 magnitude on the Richter Scale, according to the Institute of Geodynamics, National Observatory of Athens. The earthquake was mostly felt in Herakleion and in the northern shores of Eastern Crete.
The tremor came from 258 kilometers south and southeast of Athens. The epicenter of the tremor is in the sea territory, 51 kilometers south-southwest of Santorini and 73 kilometers north of Herakleion.
