Specifically, 60 percent of participants believe elections are not necessary at present, while 38 percent believe it is time for Greeks to cast the ballot again. However, the percentages are lower compared to the last poll in March, when 71 percent were against elections now and 25 percent were in favor.
Only 7 percent of Greeks believe things are moving in the right direction for the country, while 88 percent think that Greece is going the wrong direction. At the same time, only 9 percent believe that the economy will improve within the next twelve months. Three out of four Greeks believe the economy will get worse, while 16 percent think that the economy will remain as it is.
Regarding the return to the drachma, 49 percent of Greeks believe things will worsen if Greece returns to the national currency and 30 percent believe Greeks will be better off with the drachma.
As for the International Monetary Fund, 70 percent of participants believe it should leave the Greek bailout program. Only 24 percent want the IMF to stay in the program.
