Eurostat: Greek Unemployment at 24.4% in January

Greek unemployment was shaped at 24.4% in January 2016 in comparison to the 24.3% of December 2015 and the 25.7% of January 2015, according to Eurostat data published on Friday.
In March 2016, unemployment in the Eurozone was at 10.2%, recording the lowest level since August 2011. A year ago, in March 2015, unemployment in the Eurozone was at 11.2% and in the European Union at 9.7%. However, there are no data regarding unemployment in Greece during March and February 2016.
The highest unemployment levels in the EU are documented in Greece and Spain (20.4% in March). In Greece, there were 1,16 million unemployed people in January. 21.1% unemployed men and 28.7% unemployed women.
In February, the unemployed youth in the Eurozone was at 21.2% and in the European Union at 19.1%. The unemployed youth (under 25) in Greece rose from 49.3% in December 2015 to 51.9% in January 2016.
