The Refugee Itinerary Through the Lens of Eleven Photojournalists

itineraryjpg
The refugee itinerary through “starting-point” countries like Iraq, Syria and Libya to Greece and other countries of the Western Balkans, and the refugee struggle for a better future, are the main themes of the group exhibition “The Itinerary”. Eleven photojournalists “unite” their perspective and lenses, and present to the audience several overwhelming scenes of the refugee crisis.
The photojournalists whose work is featured in “The Itinerary” are Andrea Bonetti, Yannis Kolesidis, Menelaos Myrillas, Dimitris Bouras, Milos Bicanski, Louisa Gouliamaki, Nikos Palaiologos, Anna Pantelia, Fotis Plegas G., Giannis Liakos and Orestis Seferoglou. The exhibition is taking place thanks to the NGO “Solidarity Now” and it will be hosted from May 4th until May 8th in Technopolis, Gazi.
The photos that will be exhibited are powerful and “difficult” and tell the story of the refugees‘ passage to Greece, where they re-establish communities and find balances despite their differences, as they have as a common goal the “escape” towards a safe and better future.
