Local growers on Chios, the fifth largest of the Greek islands, are famous for their mastiha production. The plant, that only grows there, has been nurtured by these people for thousands of years. Mastiha World — the growers’ mastiha liquer in London — is asking people to use mastiha as inspiration for a cocktail, for the chance to be crowned champion and win a trip to Chios.
All you need to do is to create a signature drink serving at least 25ml of either Enosis or Kentos mastiha liqueurs with three to five other ingredients. It should be easy to reproduce with accessible ingredients.

Finalists will be asked to create a second cocktail that should highlight the taste and terroir of mastiha at the final taking place this August in London.
Along with the trip, the winner will see his drink featured in Imbibe, a magazine dedicated to beverages. Even if you don’t win, you still get a trophy box. But hurry, the deadline ends on July 20. Get entering!
