Greek PM: Despite Difficulties, the Left is Creating the Conditions to Exit the Crisis

Tsipras_tif1The positive outcome of Greece’s negotiations with its lenders and the expected positive development in debt relief will mark the entry to a new era for the economy, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said on Friday during a meeting of SYRIZA’s political secretariat.
According to party sources, Tsipras also said this entry requires “a serious plan, determination and not complacency”, adding that despite the difficulties the Left has managed to create the conditions for an exit from the crisis. “Now, it has to prove that it can also plan the next day even more effectively,” he said.
According to sources, Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos briefed the PM on the outcome of the Eurogroup meeting May 9 and ahead of the Eurogroup on May 24. He also said that the debate is now focusing on the debt issue, on which Greece is pushing for the best possible solution.
