German Fin Min Rejects IMF Proposal on Greece's Debt Repayment

Wolfgang-Schaeuble1German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble reportedly rejects the International Monetary Fund proposal in which Greece would freeze loan and interest repayments until 2040.
Schaeuble told German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung that he will not allow that as long as he is finance minister.
According to reports the IMF has suggested that euro zone states accept long delays in the repayment of Greece’s bailout loans, and allow the country to repay the loan in the 2040-2080 period at the current 1.5 percent interest rate.
Schaeuble said he cannot ask the German parliament to approve changes to an agreement that was reached after many difficulties last summer, according to the newspaper. He said though that he is willing to accept minor changes inside the parameters of the already existing deal.
