eksarxeia-dolofonia-708Two men on a motorcycle fatally shot a foreign man on Themistokleous Street in the Exarchia neighborhood in Athens, at 11:30 am on Tuesday.
The perpetrators wore motorcycle helmets and — according to witnesses who called the police — were not identifiable. They shot the man three times in the head, chest and stomach. The attack took place at 88 Themistokleous Street.
Police rushed to the spot and found the bleeding victim. The man was transferred to Red Cross Hospital. The man was pronounced dead around 1:30 pm.
The victim is a foreigner, reportedly of Syrian origin, approximately 35 years old. Police officers said the man is known for having connections with drug rings and that he has been arrested in the past as a suspect in a drug-related stabbing incident.
