Remains of Four Missing Greek Cypriot Soldiers Discovered in Occupied Mesaoria

cyprus solidersThe CNA has reported that the remains of four Greek-Cypriot soldiers have been discovered near the occupied village of Mora in Mesaoria, Cyprus.
The Committee on Missing Persons (CMP) released a statement to the CNA regarding the nine CMP teams that have been conducting searches for about one month.
Member Nestoras Nestoros of the CMP said that the nine teams followed a lead from a Turkish-Cypriot witness that helped them to locate the remains of the four soldiers.
The CNA reports that Nestoros said that the teams are still locating additional areas where missing persons are buried in the vicinity of the village.
In all, the teams are working to exhume missing Greek-Cypriot soldiers in eight spots, two of which are controlled by the Republic of Cyprus and six in occupied areas.
