Greece Ranked Worst Performer in EU for Digital Readiness

free internet anad laptopGreece is the worst-off country among EU member states when it comes to reaping the benefits of technology and opportunities of the digital revolution, new data from the Digital Readiness Index says.
Also, a recent study by Global Economic Forum presented by the Federation of Hellenic Information Technology & Communications Enterprises (SEPE) gave the same grim report that Greece is lacking in improvement in utilizing opportunities from the digital revolution to expand its resources as Greece ranked 70 out of 139 countries.
In 2015 the same study showed Greece ranking at 66 among 143 countries surveyed. According to SEPE, Greece scored the same score both years, that of 4.1, while other countries, Such as Bulgaria, have seen improvements and have left Greece behind in the competition.
Greece is generally known for lagging behind when it comes to adapting and adopting new innovative reforms in regards to digital technology. The fact is that if the country was able to better adapt it would reap many social and economic benefits.
