Greek Rail Workers Call of Planned Strikes on Tuesday Until Thursday

PROASTIAKOS
Greece’s national and suburban railways (Proastiakos) will operate as normal on Tuesday following the suspension of rolling strike action that was set to halt operations until Thursday.
Unionists decided to suspend the strike action after meeting with officials from Greece’s privatization fund, the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund. The work stoppage was due to union dissatisfaction over employees’ collective contracts decisions and the 45-million-euro bid by Italy’s state-owned Gruppo Ferovvie State Italiane for the sale of Trainose that had been agreed to by the privatization fund next week.
