Greek Police Arrest Pharmacist Turned Drug Lord on Mykonos

mykonos-bGreek police have arrested a well-known Athens pharmacist who was the main trafficker of cocaine and hashish in Mykonos clubs.
After a lengthy operation of the Attica Drug Enforcement Agency in Athens and Mykonos, police officers arrested the pharmacist and his brother. The two men were travelling to Mykonos and carried large quantities of cocaine and hashish which they sold to a 54-year-old former bar owner, who later sold it to his rich clientele in Mykonos clubs.
The operation started over a month ago after police received a tip on a pharmacy in the Neos kosmos neighborhood of Athens who was dealing drugs. Police first started monitoring the pharmacy’s phone calls. However, no suspicious calls were detected.
After that, the DEA started following the moves of the 50-year-old pharmacist and his brother which led them to Mykonos and the local trafficker.
Police invaded the apartments the two brothers owned in Athens and found large quantities of narcotics. They also invaded the rooms the two men were renting and found more drugs.
According to Attica Police, officers found and seized: 141 packages of cocaine ready for sale, approximately 6 kilograms of hashish, 260 grams of powder used for adulteration of drugs, two handguns and 4,720 euros.
