Greek Government to Recruit 20,000 Civil Servants

civil servantsGreek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras looks to make changes to the constitution as well as initiate a hiring spree of some 20,000 civil servants over the coming year.
As the Greek PM tries to revive the spirit and atmosphere of Greece’s public sector which he currently refers to as “a minefield,” around half of the 20,000 new hires would be recruited through the Supreme Council for Civil Personnel Selection (ASEP). The new hires will be deployed to help aid in the deteriorating and understaffed state education and health service sectors.
The recruiting initiative is not expected to face any objections from representatives of Greece’s international creditors note government sources.
