Eurostat: Athenians are the Least Satisfied Residents of EU’s 28 Capitals

According to a recent report published by the European Union’s (EU) statistical agency, Eurostat, Athenians are the most unhappy residents of a capital city out of the 28 member states of the EU.
The report revealed that Athenians are at least more satisfied with their life in Athens in 2016 than they were four years ago in 2012 when only 56 percent of the citizens in the Greek capital were happy with the status quo.
The current percentage of Athenians satisfied with living in Athens is at 71 percent, according to Eurostat. Other capital cities, such as the residents of Rome, Italy came in at 80 percent satisfaction, while Paris, France earned a 83 percent satisfaction rate.
The Eurostat report also showed that Vilnius, Lithuania has the happiest residents where the percentage of people happy with their life is 98 percent.
