Greece’s Dimitra Korokida of Greece bagged the bronze medal at the Rio Paralympics on Monday in the shotput F-53 event. Her throw of 4.28 meters made her stand out, coming third behind Fatema Nedham of Bahrain who won the gold medal with the best throw of 4.76 meters and India’s Deepa Malik who received silver for her throw of 4.61 meters.
Korokida’s win comes 10 months after her gold medal win at the International Championships at Doha. Her result also broke her personal record for this year.
The medal is the sixth for Greece at the Rio Paralympics.
