According to Ekathimerini.com police data shows that robberies across the nation have increased considerably in comparison to 2015.
In 2015 there were 2,203 reported from January to June 2016 across the country whereas there were 2,456 robberies in the same period in 2016.
The data was broken down by region, showing that in Attica there were 1,867 robberies compared to 2015 when then were 1,648.
Also for the same time period examined, the data shows that the numbers rose in Thessaloniki slightly with 336 robberies in 2016 compared to 265.
