UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon looks forward to offering his personal support to both Turkish leader of Cyprus; Mustafa Akinci and President Nicos Anastasiades of Cyprus. The two are set to enter into a crucial phase of negotiations, UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said in New York. The spokesman was referring to the talks starting next Monday on Mont Pelerin in Switzerland in the presence of Ban Ki-moon.
Dujarric noted that “the Secretary-General will be travelling to Switzerland on Sunday to open intensive discussions on Monday morning between the Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot leaders”. He will be back in New York by Monday evening.
