Greece Ends the Night with a Draw Against Bosnia

greece_bosnia_web-thumb-largeGreece managed to end their match against Bosnia in a 1-1 draw last night.
The game was intense as Bosnia led for the majority of the game, getting ahead early in the 32nd minute when Miralem Panic scored from a direct free kick, putting the host team on the spot to equalize the 0-1 score.
Following the Bosnian goal, a four-minute stoppage occurred when Bosnian fans started throwing flares at the home fans and ripped out seats from the stadium. In turn, Greece fans started to fight back, but riot police intervened and stopped the Bosnian fans, allowing the match to proceed.
Finally, as the game went into additional time, Greece’s Tzavellas showcased a fierce left-footer from 25 meters, equalizing the score with only 20 seconds left in the game.
This 1-1 draw leaves Greece in the second group with 10 points in four games.
The game was not without tensions and scuffles outside of the stadium as it has been reported that three Bosnian fans were attacked after shouting “Kosovo is Serbian” and in another incidence a Bosnian fan was jumped at the metro station outside of Karaiskakis stadium by around 10 Greeks, but Greek onlookers help defend him and break up the confrontation.
