According to tweets on Monday from Cypriot government spokesman Nikos Christodoulides, this Wednesday President Nicos Anastasiades is set to arrive in Athens to meet with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras for talks.
As the UN-led Cyprus talks are entering what many are calling a crucial phase, it is expected that the main topic of discussion between the two leaders will be the progress of the negotiations with Turkish-Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci.
While in Athens President Anastasiades will also be meeting with Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos and other top Greek officials.
The Cyprus talks are set to resume on November 20 between Anastasiades and Akinci.
