ypourgeio-oikonomikonAccording to the Greek Finance Ministry, another day of negotiations regarding the country’s third bailout has concluded between Greece’s international creditors and government officials, resulting inĀ “substantial convergence,” with the creditor envoys.
Officials say that the specific details of the agreements will be “hammered out” over the next few days before preparing and submitting the 2017 budget to Parliament, sources reported.
A main goal of the talks is to negotiate a sustainable debt relief plan for Greece, government officials said in the weeks leading up to the negotiations.
The talks on Monday covered various topics including banking, justice and fiscal issues and involved Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos, Economy Minister Dimitris Papadimitriou and Energy Minister Giorgos Stathakis.
