The Greek strawberry, the tangerines and the kiwi have a gained a special position in the countries of Southern Asia, the special adviser of the Incofruit-Hellas Giorgos Polychronakis said to Athens Macedonian News Agency radio Praktoreio.
The products of Greek agriculture are recovering after the losses resulting from the sanction imposed to the Russian market. The further opening to the traditional markets as well as the expansion to new markets as the markets of the Middle East and Asia contributed to this recovery. Particularly, in the Middle East and Egypt, an important role played the “Arab Spring” and the Greek producers have promoted ‘almost at monopoly level’ the Greek apples and the kiwis along with other fresh fruit.
